The only one that I think is a little lacking is The Thinker - the statue is too dark against the bright sky & lot's of detail is missing because of that

Yes, Johnny - a real photographer's eye and excellent presentation of your work. These are seriously good images. BTW, I hope you don't mind me pointing this out, but your pic of Rodin's "The Thinker (Le Penseur)" was, I'm fairly sure, taken in the Musee Rodin in Paris rather than in Rome. I have a picture taken from the same spot in 2003, and the surrounds are identical.

Stubbsy, it is very hard to capture the "blackness" of these statues. Whatever medium was used is really deep, deep black and balancing the contrast becomes problematic. If you lighten the black to get detail, you wash out everything else.

Yep I'm just being extra picky cos these are all so god damn good. Still think the exposure could be brought up a touch by extra work in PS with layering though

Damn it you're right, it was in Paris. I got mixed up!! I'll have to change it. Thanks for pointing it out.

I figured I should have processed the thinker a little more. I was POURING rain when I was trying to take the picture, and I had to move on to Napolean's tomb. I only took one shot of the thinker, and left. Not much time was put into taking that photograph, and it shows!!

So, presuming I'm right about how you did these:

I am curious about your panorama (Nice, France) and why you chose to shoot it with a wide angle lens and then stitch only three shots? For me, the horizon is uncomfortable on the eye (especially as a water line does not curve).

I'm also wondering if you stitched together the Monte Carlo, Monaco pano as there seems to be a stitch line resembling a \ on the left of the M.

Other than those two (as I'm a pedantic bastard), I love the shots and hope you sell a bunch.
