Good picture. IT's got foreground, background, and something to take me from here to there. Plus it's sharp as a tack which is nice. Is it just a tad oversaturated. May just be my monitor.

I love this shot. Are the colours in the water fish or something or are they something you added in yourself?

Well done Ben - I will go exactly with what Dave has said except for saturation, it’s spot-on

Good call chris, except for disagreeing with the oversaturation...

Just switched monitors and the saturation is actually pretty good.

I take it back. hehe, I should go to bed.

G'day Ben
Lovely feeling to the image, terrific highlights in an interesting foreground and catching lines in the water leading up the little creek...

Nicely framed...

Hi Ben, I like the shot i gather maybe the the lines are from the flowing water i guess, could be wrong but looks good. Well done.

Nice pic :)

An excellent study of eddy's and currents.

Is that a black dust bunny i spy in the middle of the picture or something else?

Thank you for all the encouraging comments. The white lines in the water are due to the long exposure. There is foam floating down from the rapids at the top of frame into the eddy of the swimming hole.

Yes a dust bunny appeared, I go camping to see Aussie wildlife and the damn introduced species are everywhere!! I will eliminate it.

Neeper

It is the foam from the rapids swirling on top of the water.

Hi Ben
Thanks for posting your image. A nice waterscape and the colours are very natural. Composition has been exploited to the max and exposure spot on. You gotta love that camera....oh...and the photographer had a bit to do with it too.

I love the contrast between moving objects and stationary ones. it really captures the moment. Nice and crisp!

Thanks mic and storm. It was a beautiful spot, nice and calm, two hours later it was full of people and dogs swimming around. I think i might print it for my wall.

Ben,

I can't add to the comments already here except to say this is a truly standout image. Everything about it draws you into the story; you can almost smell the forest. Magazine covershot stuff. (Dust Bunny Monthly?)
