Which version p/shop are you using?

If it's CS, you'll need this plugin - http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ ... ftpID=2701

If that's the case then no :)

You may be interested in getting Rawshooter Essentials from http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite? ... ads/Trials

It's free and lets you view and edit NEFs. Helluva lot quicker than NC4 as well.

I doubt that any PS plugin available for PS 5.0, though it's an ancient stuff, download the free RAW converter software and you'll get all what you want.

My guess would be no, you can't.

As a software developer, my guess would be that Adobe will tell you that it's a product that's no longer supported.

Rawshooter Essentials would be what he is talking about.

I use it despite having Nikon Capture and Photoshop 7 and CS2 (only 7 is installed atm)

I don't see any reason to be afraid of upgrading your version of Photoshop - except perhaps $$$$. You'll find that most changes have been added features and functionality, not a wholesale change that will throw you out of joint. Once in a while a filter or feature gets changed to a different menu, but you'll catch on fast. Once you get to use tools like the healing brush that was introduced in PS7 you'll be absolutely thrilled you upgraded.

As far as I know PS 7 was the first that could read NEF's at all, and PS CS has full functionality for Raw files.

It can?? Where?

I used to be an advocate for PS5.5 and didn't want to upgrade to ps7. I only ended up updating when I kept getting files sent to me that I couldn't open

PS7 can open Nef's, provided you had the driver from NikonView or NikonCapture installed.

Stephen

CS2 uses Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) - that's all you need to open raw with it.
