Posting to the Computer and IT forumHi,
I was trying to put a post in the Computer and IT forum, but I got: "Sorry, but only users granted special access can post topics in this forum." How do I qualify for special access? I've been a computer geek for years and even make a living at it BTW, this is a great community, just joined a few days ago. I have to get used to using my new D70s before I post any pictures. Thanks, Radar (aka André)

Welcome - another Novocastrian (almost). The area you refer to as well as a number of others are restricted to members who've been here and contributed. Rough rule of thumb is 30 posts and the posting of one of your images for critique. The idea is to encourage people to participate. We're pretty gentle here - so don't hesitate to post - everyone has something to contribute or a question to ask. For starters there's a thread here that's just begging for a comment from you You might also like to read this for info on how to post an image for critique Peter

Thanks Peter,
I hope to participate more as I get used to my camera. When convenient, I may even see to share a ride with you to the Sydney mini-meet, maybe the one in July, can't make this one coming up. I've got plenty of questions, so I'll start asking in the appropriate forum, Cheers, André
André Sharing a ride to the mini meet is no problem. I tend to make it about every second meet. We have a big anniversary meet coming up the weekend of 5-7 August. I suggest you at the very least make that - it will be awesome. There's stuff on the home page about it plus the main thread here. So far as IT - you'll also find a lot of people here work in IT one way or another so you'll fit right in Peter

Hi Ben,
the one and only I thought I might see you on here. Just got my D70s, great camera. Just have to learn to use all the bits now, that´s the fun part. Everybody looks very welcoming. One can learn lots just reading the forums. The mini-meets also look like a lot of fun. See u at Bob's or around town. Cheers, André
Welcome to the forum Radar and enjoy the view This is going to get confusing... we now have radar and raydar
If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??
Ben, Radar and other Newcastle based members,
I hope will see you often up there, joined the "Hunter Region" recently and am travelling a lot up to the Bay lately. Why don't we (Newcastle based members) host a mini meet up there at one week end. It should be fun! Last edited by birddog114 on Thu Jun 16, 2005 9:06 pm, edited 1 time in total.
