Using USA charger in Aus?I am looking at getting a P&S from the B&H. Looking at getting the Olympus C7070 for travel photography
Question is, can I still use the charger that comes with the camera in aus? Do I just get an adapter? Thanks
Re: Using USA charger in Aus?
Vince. If its a universal charger (110-2140V) then all you'll need is an adapter for the mains plug. Otherwise you'll need to buy a 240V charger with the same DC output as the one that comes with the camera (or if your lucky you'll already have one that matches). If you need to buy a charger they aren't very expensive - try somewhere like http://www.jaycar.com.au Peter

Normally all the P&S come with the multi-voltage charger for people to use it in many countries when they travelling overseas, and you only need the power cord complied with Australian standard which you can buy from many outlets as Dick Smith stores.
All the P&S battery chargers are proprietaries, to susbstitute with another charger is not a good idea. Birddog114

And I'll tell you more - if it's 110-240V charger and if you slightly turn contacts with pliers to fit australian wall socket you'll get australian plug out of american I've done it to 3 laptops and all of them are OK
