Owen - love the first shot, this really stands out as a clear winner in my opinion! Give us some EXIF data will u? I like the other two as well but as I said - the first one is brilliant

owen: great pics, and good idea for a thread...
let's try to keep this thread pics only here are three of my favs from the past few months... <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/deesignphotography/14598701/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://photos13.flickr.com/14598701_2f2728d3dd.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="reservation for two..." /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/deesignphotography/5647256/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://photos6.flickr.com/5647256_ffc846cbb7_o.jpg" width="904" height="590" alt="purgatory" /></a> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/deesignphotography/5229938/" title="Photo Sharing"><img src="http://photos4.flickr.com/5229938_6cc32ededa_o.jpg" width="748" height="518" alt="granville island" /></a>
Oh great !
Now I have NINE favourite images and none of them are MINE!!! Brilliant work Owen, Sheepie and Dee! I'd be proud to hang any of them on my wall. Owen - All fabulous but #1 is special. Sheepie - again all great but my fav is the Harbour pano. Dee - what can I say; your images come from another consciousness. That second one is both inspiring and heart-breaking at the same time. You mix emotions into your shots the way the rest of us mix levels. (I'll get some dutch courage and post mine later....when everyone's gone to bed) Simon

I agree with keeping this thread images only but I gotta say that flipfrog and sheepie your pictures are great! Love the pano sheepie, it is the same old sydney harbour but without the boring usual bridge view. Flipfrog my fav is the second one, just something very moving about it.
(shutter time for the tree shot was 157 seconds (if I looked at the right image). It was lit with a dolphin torch and then had wb changed in nikon capture - thanks for the comments and bring on some more pics!)
I would love to post three images but which 3....... lets see what the zoo brings tomorrow.....
what has been posted is just fantastic....... cheers bp Cheers ....bp....

To be honest I do not have many favourites as what I shoot today I try and get a better shot tomorrow, or should I say get a shot then get a better one, so what I shoot is always changing, I shoot the same subject up to 20 or 30 different ways along with a bracket of exposures if the shot has some merit then do an edit.
I always shoot in raw and a bracket of exposures depending on the light, sometimes up to 6 or 8 different exposures. Sometimes I blend two of these exposures together, I never know till I have down loaded and had a good look. cheers bp PS: you will all have to wait till tomorrow.......... Cheers ....bp....

Peter, was the first one taken on the way to Jenolan Caves? I love the shot.. I tried to do that myself that morning.. not only did they not turn out as good as I hoped.. but I lost my lens cap in the process
Ahh.. memories Geoff http://www.gleff.com

Owen,
Love the first one especially, very imaginative. Checked the exif and suprised the exposure was only 2 1/2 minutes... Those stars really fly across the sky How did you light the tree? Car headlights? If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??
Flipfrog.
It's a pleasure to see that B&W again. I remember when I first saw it and to this day is one of the finest I have ever seen on this forum. I hope you have it framed on your wall, because I know I'd love it on my wall If I'm alone in a forest and my wife is not around to hear what I say, am I still wrong ??
Cape Woolamai, near Phillip Island Victoria Feb this year. A different version of my POTW some time ago, I like this one better. Mic. There are some great shots in here isn't there.
I am really impressed by the standard here. Great job everyone!
My three favourites at the moment: HB
It's humbling to be in such illustrious company. Here are some of my favourites. First one is the central spar of Brisbane's Goodwill Bridge. The second one was taken literally metres away on the same bridge as it goes under the Captain Cook Bridge. The third shot was taken at Nundah Historic Centery during a spectular sunset that I could never have done justice:

I've got a lot more runs to get on the board in this photography game but I'm trying. Seeing work like yours and others here is very inspiring. Simon

There's certainly some wonderful images coming out of the woodwork here.
Heath: Welcome, and I love all three of yours. The first one is very emotive, the second is almost a miracle of nature and the third simply takes my breath away. Well done! g.

Heath - all three images are wonderful, but as Gary has said, the first is very emotive - a wonderful capture

Hello stubbsy! Thanks for your kindness. It is good to see a few Newcastle locals here. I lived on The Hill for a year two years ago if that qualifies me as a local... And even now I find myself there quite often. Here is one for our common ground - taken on Saturday evening: HB
Here are 3 from me

I think I'll retire my d70 and hang my head in shame!

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
Owen - #1 is a well deserved POTW - my fave of the three
Dee - #3 (a former POTW) still blows me away, but I like #2 (perhaps since I've seen it less) Leon - The pano! - can't wait to see the final framed version Chris - While it's good, you have much better than this. Mic - I like the treatement of this - how is it different to the POTW version (please don't say you inverted it ) Heath - already commente don yours - but I like the clouds in the Nobby's shot, not so sure about the camera angle. Marcus - definitely #1 (didn't need to be reminded of that toilet roll holder incident again ) Geoff - wow - that first one - superb - haven't seen it before have you been keeping this to yourself or did I just miss it. Johnny - Musee D'Orsay - probably my fave of all your travel shots - looks good as your avatar too Bernie - toss up between #1 and #3 but your boat shot gets it by a nose Brad - The first of your second three is strange. IT really looks like a model to me - it's hyper-real somehow. My fave is the third of your first three. Did I miss anyone Peter

Some utterly fantastic images there, but Heath, your 3rd image of the kids flipping each other is simply sublime. Really fantastic shot. Would you share the exif?
Would really love to see some more of your work - you seem to have an aesthetic which totally appeals to me. Matt
