Post your three favourite pics - I'll start!

Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Honesty is encouraged, but please be positive in your constructive criticism. Flaming and just plain nastiness will not be tolerated. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Typically, no more than about four images should be posted in any one post or thread, and the maximum size of any side of any image should not exceed 950 px.

Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Mic - I like the treatement of this - how is it different to the POTW version (please don't say you inverted it )

Stubbsy, The original pic was a lot more pinkier ( I think I just made a new word for the Dic )

This one just looks a bit more normal to me, but hey, what is normal in my world might not be in yours :D

No, couldn't invert such a nice place, but bloody Marcus did :x turned in into The Antarctic. you can see such an offence in POTW's

Mic.

Heath

Your images just blow me away. The simplicity of that first one is magic & the B & W is the perfect treatment.

Nothing better than a lovefest is there

The ships is something I'll do again. Three sailed at once and so that meant I could get shots of the other two at sea. Really proved just how good the VR was on my 70-200 VR.

Yeah the VR must have worked well - active mode?

This is definately on the topic... During one of the world wars an American ship called 'MANLOVE' was highly successful and sunk many enemy ships. Must have had something to do with morale

Unreal Heath.

Man that B&W of the tracks is perfect.
Checked out your site dude and bookmarked it. I reckon you would have won the challenge with that flipping boy shot.

I'm starting to sound a trifle gay here with my praise for you, but I really love what you're doing.

Manlove can sound quite homosexual (not that there is anything wrong with that, thanks Seinfeld).

Yeah I'm wishing I didn't post the flipping shot - I have found it hard to decide what else I could post... It says that obvious subject answers have won previous comps, but all I can think of are shots that are unique interpretations... Well winning isn't everything I am told.

I haven't had a chance to submit any of my favourites yet, but I'm absolutely in awe of the talent on display here. Some of these shots - and I especially single out Heath here - are gems.
