I said I had two of ok shots
I really think the lighting could of been much better on the underside of the bird. The contrast between the browns and the straw color is very harsh. Normally in softer lighting conditions you get a nicer contrast between those colors. I'm quite happy with the result of the shot, had to clone back in the very edge of two of it's primary feathers as they were cropped off. Hadn't expected it to perch so close and hadn't had time to back off the focal length. Darryl (aka Kipper)

Yeah I had processed this whole shot then realised my monitor brightness was at 100% (use that for gaming) and should be at 85% for pp. Doh!
I'd already used the shadow tool (20-30%) in a feathered selection region around the eye to bring out the eye a bit more. Darryl (aka Kipper)
