How many members mate in public?

Postby Glen on Mon Jun 27, 2005 11:15 am

Heard on the weekend a few members have a secret mate in public interest in which they have quite some talent. Just wondering how many members mate in public or have pictures of members singing mate in public?

I use to - until recent noise polution legislation meant that I'll now be breaking the law if I pick up a mic with the intention of breaking into song...

EDIT: Oookay... this seems to have changed - with the word "mate in public" replaced with the word "Mate"... Wuh da funk?!

Hum... Doing both photography and mate in public would require a tremendous amount of self-control! I associate mate in public with large consumption of alcohol (hence the ~~melodious~~ result), but the result could be visually interesting (artistic blur :!: ).

Another interesting part also, the D70user, who plays guitar and now who's doing karoke, I can see we have lot of talents on this board, may we expand these to our AW nights

My other half likes it, and I've been known to be dragged along.  If people are interested, we went to a place on Pitt St with a group of friends for her birthday, and for a private VIP (!) room with BYO grog it was $180 for 2 hours, pretty decent if you have a large group!

evil hides in a mic

Postby redline on Mon Jun 27, 2005 2:35 pm

the last time i went for a night in the gutter was about 3 years ago.
the hollywood club where my chinese friends decided to go to have fun.
i think it was about 250 for a private room and 250 in credit for food and grog.
by 4am we got evicted after one of the guys started vomitting and slipping into unconscious due to his drunkness. anyway i ended up having to help carry is "dead" body all over the city streets looking for an all nighter for some coffee. also got stopped by cops aswell they ask us to go straight home by taxi, which wasn't possible in his condition and that trains wouldn't be back on until 6-7ish, what a nice a night in the gutter experince.
i passed on every occasion they ask me out again.
Life's pretty straight without drifting

The strangest thing about when people mate in public in public is the weird noises they make.

After all this teasing, is someone actually going to publish the photo of one of our prominent members doing it and the expression on his face as he reached the climax???

Not yet, Scott. :)

But the output from the word filters gets carried across into the quoted section, and that only adds to the fun.

Er, I mean mayhem.

As a person who takes his music very seriously, and is firmly of the opinion that there is no place in public society for this type of activity, I can honestly say that, based upon the evidence presented last Saturday, the hidden "talents" continue to remain thusly so: hidden.

Out, damned spot, out! (The bloody dog keeps getting in the way. :) )

Stubbsy, I thought that you were familiar with the law in NSW - you don't need a model release if it is for non-commercial purposes...

And in the words of one of our illustrious members: What are you taking a photo of? Anything I like it's a free country!!!!!!

Dean, it just exchanges one nominated word with another word or phrase. Our evil Administrator enjoys messing with our heads. If you enter mate in public (k a r a o k e) the post will show "mate in public"

Dean,

Its purpose is to provide censorship on boards such as this, so that if you entered a word that I deemed offensive, I could have the software automatically suppress that word and replace it with another.

I don't, however, believe in traditional censorship, and thus I find very few words, in the normal course of the day, offensive, and thus the word filter facility here goes largley unused.

Now, combine that fact with the fact that I do consider K araoke to be a highly offensive pasttime (I'm actually quite serious about that, and likewise this bullshit stuff we get thrown at us that some might call "reality tv") and add to that mix my rather warped sense of humour, and we end up with a(nother) playgound for me.

Such is life.

Quick trivia quiz : why is that quote important today?
