UntouchableManual 1/500 f5.6. Flash used. Handheld. Picture slightly cropped as the subject is quite far away. regards, Arthur
Arthur, your bird pics are bloody great mate and that is 1 nice looking bird.
I notice the other pic of this bird in other post as i did not coment yet as i had a photo order come in while looking at it and got distracted.Anyhow i know you used the flash so i gather this bird was not a long way away? I have not tried this so it looked great anyhow. Well done. Cheers John D3,D2x,D70,18-70 kit lens,Sigma 70-200mm F2.8EX HSM,Nikon AF-I 300m F2.8, TC20E 2X

This is great and really has impact for me because of the consistent tonings - all muted blue & greys. Wonderful stuff. Peter

I love this shot Arthur.
Great soft blue and grey colours. Good looking bird in an expressive pose. Only thing I notice is that the pole is not vertical - was that the way it was? I don't think it needs correcting - it doesn't seem to detract from a great image. Julian
HiThanks for all your kind comments and feedback.
Yes, Andrew, we had a great time. It was very tiring too. Still not used to driving there and back. Did 3 wrong turns and thank goodness for street directory. Yes, the pole was actually slanted. Will try to see if it looks better straighten. Several people have suggested that. The picture is slightly underexposed. I did that deliberately so that I can keep the background as it is. regards, Arthur
Artie,
Thats one of those toy pencils with one of those plastic birds on the end of it. Come on now. tell us the truth Did you get it from Macca's or Hungry Jacks Mic. Nice shot Artie.
