What sort of price would the Nikon D2X with a Nikkor 18-70MM lense set you back roughly?

It's so cheap now! It's AU$10G +, mate!!!!
Not like the D70 kit that you're looking for with your target of 2G.
Order today one of the D2x and perhaps you'll get some discount for next Xmas 06 delivery :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hehe.....I know I have a budget for the D70 but the D2X that's a whole different kettle of fish. I could of probably chipped in a few bob extra for that but I think $10K is a bit above what I'd want to spend just now on a DSLR :D

Kipper,
I read somewhere in our forum, one of your post mentioned was "money is not your object", if it's the case then go for the D2x with more better features, and modern than the D70 is just 2G.
