Farm house for sale...Nikon 17-55DX f/2.8 1/200 f/13 ISO200 This is straight out of the camera except for cropping. Comments welcomed. fozzie
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
You've got a fair bit of dust on that lens is my first comment
The dark background really takes away from where the focus is meant to be. I also feel that there's a bit too much negative space @ the top of the shot. The colours are a bit flat (I'd assume that's due to no PP). I might play around with this image if you don't mind?? --Wade
Wade,
I have just opened my backpack and examined the lens, and it is so dusty . Must pay more attention to detail ie. cleaning every bit of equipment before leaving home. You have my permission to change any aspect. fozzie

I've been busy working on eBGP Routing all night ()
Anyhow, sorry for the late reply. Here's my take on it. This is just my take, it's not perfect and may require more work, I just thought I'd give it a bit of what I can. I didn't see what you saw, maybe you wanted it to have a cold-ish feel? ( I don't know how red the bricks were, which made it a bit hard to reference my contrasting) What I did: I cropped it fairly tightly to give it more mistque. I did an smart-unsharpen in PS2, to bring out the edges. I did an auto-levels, then a manual contrast correction. I then played with the highlights and shadows to change the sky a little bit. after before Cheers, --Wade
Fozzie - as soon as I saw this 'house' it reminded me of the ruins at Port Arthur in Tassie. Anyone else see the similarity?

Wade,
Whilst I like the cropping and smart-unsharpen in PS2 you have done, the colour to me and how I remember it is a tad too bright, the stone was weathered. Thank you for your time and effort. I have since worked on mine and come up with: fozzie

It certainly does Geoff. Isn't Port Arthur an eerie place to walk around ?? My Wife and I went on the night-tour last year when we were over in Tassie and it's absolutely fantastic. Anyone going to Tassie should really go to Port Arthur, and also take part in the night-tour......well worth it !!! Dave

Yes it certainly reminded me as well of Port Arthur, a spooky place when dusk falls around all those old empty buildings.
I was quite glad to get back into the comfort of my car and take the even more spooky drive back to Hobart. Nice picture, it certainly benefits from a little PS although I would back off on the unsharp mask as I prefer it a little bit softer. Nikon F80D, FM2n

fozzie: I had a feeling that it was a sight that had to be seen to be worked on.
Nice crop. That's exactly where I was going to crop it if it wasn't 3am when i cropped it and after saving and exiting photoshop I realized I cropped it lower then I meant to, lol. --Wade
Oneputt,
Approximately 7 kms outside of Clare (1.75 hours or 136 Kms roughly North of Adelaide) on the way to Mintaro: http://www.auinfo.com/clare_valley_Map.html Cheers, fozzie

Out of the 2 PP images, I tend to prefer Fozzie's original cropping and PP'd colour, but I did like the sharper image of Wade's.
Fozzie, would you mindif I take a crack at it tonight?
PiroStitch,
By all means. I have only just noticed another dust bunny, 2/3 of the way up right hand side. Looks like another 'CCD' cleaning coming up this weekend. I hate dust bunnies fozzie

Chris,
Your offer would be refused . Property is surrounded: surprise, surprise by grape vines. I could almost smell the aroma of the wine from the bottle, then in a glass and down my throat into my stomach, yummie fozzie

You forgot across the tongue my friend Chris
