Optimum image size?I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to prepare a .jpg image for presenation on a projector screen?
I forgot to change the settings back to RAW and only captured in .jpg -Large. I need to email the pics through anyway so the file size has to be as small as possible yet still look good on a large screen. Can anyone help me out?
Re: Optimum image size?
Are you talking about a data projector attached to a PC? If so, then the resolution will be the same as that of a computer screen 1024x768 or possibly 1280x1024. If the image looks good in a full screen display on your monitor - then it will look no worse on a projector... Also be aware that the luminance of the particular data projector is what will limit the size that you can project at... Do you have any further details about the projector setup? Cheers, John

Thanks John,
No I'm not sure what sort of projector we'll have. We probably wont know until the presentation night which makes it a bit difficult. I'll just take your advice and stick with what looks good on my screen. Cheers!
OK... just make sure it's up to the job...
Most low-end data projectors (i.e. those typically found in offices and meeting rooms) can project an image up to say 3m x 3m without any problem, but any larger than that and it is probably going to look very dark... If you want to project larger than that then you're probably going to need a more expensive setup... Cheers, John
