Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

The Cliff 2nd last one is my favourite. Takes me back those views. 10 miles from Sydney etc; Used to live at Manly in Quinton Rd for a while.
In the end we know Nothing, but in the meantime Learn like crazy.

some nice postcard shots in there...

I like number one for the dramatic colours and the attitude...

also... well done on keeping the horizons level.. makes a very big difference to landscape photography...

may i suggest a couple of things.... the black and whites look washed out to me.... were they done with a simple grey-scale conversion? I'd love to see the results of spending some time getting a classic ansel adams type black and white conversion....

well done and look forward to seeing some more shots....

In this case the brick wall is not a brick wall, but a canvas of high order graffiti...pigments and colours layed freely by those masters of the night...a foil for the young man who, for all we know, may be the artist and is but strolling by...or was he scared off by the sight of the photographer...whom he may have mistaken for a pervert and not, as he himself may be....a brother artist.

I like this picture.

Its an artists canvas. Brick walls are regular, red and boring. Like a communist. If it were a brick wall the the photographer, empowered by knowledge from this forum, would have passed it by.

Sorry Nexxus, I meant was the camera in the normal position (photo longer on the top & bottom than the sides) often called landscape or portrait (camera tilted 90 degrees as if to take a full body shot of someone) with the resulting shot longer on the sides than the top & bottom.

The reason I asked is I learnt (from someone on this forum) last week that taking the shot in portrait mode means more megapixels in the panorama.

Shot #1 is my favorite... I think the guy walking past not paying any attention to the art-work adds to the composition... Very nice... (Wonder if that's a tripod in the bag?)...
