Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

All of these shots were taken with the intention of focussing on the reflected image - some work and some don’t.

All shot with the Sigma 70-200 + 2x converter.

Hi Sirhc55,

This question is off the topic, but where was the photo taken of the mirrors?

Was this a secondhand store?

My girlfriend's birthday is coming up and she's wanting the wrong kind of optical glass. At least she doesn't mind it is secondhand (antique to her  - not that this is always cheaper). She doen't even live with me but need a full length mirror in my house  :?:

Went to a custom mirror store in Ryde and was getting quotes of $870 to $1700 :!: :!: :!:

She wants a full length ornate frame mirror.

Thanks heaps

Strange how helpful this site can be

Very interesting Chris...

I like the last one best for the fact that each of the reflective surfaces seems to have something totally different to say...

Manual focus???
Cheers, John

Chris. Interesting work. #1 and #3 do it for me. The last one is too busy for me.

LPV6, I have bought a mirror from them about $400. The best deals are near the front door (or on the pavement) and they get worse from there, go up to about $1800, cheapest about $250
