Emerald Spotted Tree FrogHi all - been busy going out doing fauna surveys, as usual - and have been treated to some serious rain in the last few weeks. As a result, we were lucky enough to find this emerald spotted tree frog (Litoria peronii) who was kind enough to pose nicely for me on the side of a fallen tree before it started pouring down with rain! Hope you like him - would love to have some feedback

Thanks everyone for your comments - it helps a great deal. Arthur - I agree, but the shot was taken at close to midnight, in between very very heavy downpours of rain, so was kind of lucky to get what I did
Sirhc55, I do have a shot of a pobblebonk, but have to go hunting for it. I will get back to you Thanks again Rel Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

I like how tact sharp the frog is. The black background makes it a lot easier if you need to do any sort of fancy photoshop work to it as it'll allow easier masking

You are amazing - I was joking but would still love to see what a Pobblebonk looks like. I know what a bonk is but be damned if I know what a Pobble is Chris

Rel, love it, the black background works really well, maybe just a tad more DOF (but that is being picky) but not much, it is fantastic as is.

Hey Narelle.
Having had the honour of seeing this great image before it was posted here, I can only echo the comments of the others. Just beautiful. Give up your day job. (PS - This would have been Picture of the Week for me) Simon

Wow - I was really happy with the shot - I'm so glad you all were !! The shot was taken with the one lens I use - Tamron 28-300, at full extension (300); 35mm equivalent 450mm at f5.3 and 125 exposure, while laying on wet grass in the rain next to a fallen log

Emeral Spotted Tree Frog and Scarlet Sided PobblebonkAs requested - here is a shot of a scarlet sided pobblebonk that I took last night at Pimpama. Unfortunately, it is an immature, so doesn't have the 'scarlet side', but I am still looking through my old shots... I know I have another one somewhere
