Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Good idea!Someone at least made good use of this dead tree. This is in the botanic garden at Mount Annan (Campbelltown)
Cheers, Gerard
Needs an old guy sitting at the base of the tree, playing a dobro guitar.

I saw your other post Gerard and my thought is that it could be CA or an interaction at the photosites between the blue and the background. Sometimes you can get an apparent CA when there is a marked contrast differential too.
My first reaction was PS due to the base of the tree being so straight Chris

This would look superb against a stormy sky - you might even get a reply from Mic under those conditions

I should be able to drive again next week and I'll take more shots if we have clouds. I'll be using my 12-24 Sigma instead of the 35mm.
I know there is a strong contrast, but the fringe is really big even in NEF. I'll try with the 70-200 see what comes out. Cheers, Gerard
Gerard,
If you have clouds, be sure to add a CP to the mix. g.
