It's a cunning plan... I'm still paying HECS (but have no HECS debt) and earning a few pesos, so it's like a forced saving plan. Got my cheque from ATO, $6000. Wife claimed most on silly things (like the mortgage) but I got to spend a bit. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

I hope to get a wee bit more than that, but can't afford to spend it all.
Looks like I'll be jumping on the digital bandwagon soon boys and girls....I plan to get a D70s plus kit lens lined up at one of the Saturday's meet. Plus a SB-800 (gotta upgrade for the i-TTL you know) and maybe, just maybe, a delicious 70-200 VROOM. It's going to be hard adjusting to digital so I'm going to need alot of help from you folks. I'm used to the F5 (and the vertical grip) so I'll have to get used to the smalle D70s body too.
If you're used to F5, the best way is go with the D2Hs or D2x. You'll suffer with the viewfinder on the D70s and small body no vertical grip or vertical release button. Its meter is lot better than the D70s, AF is super fassst. Even if you buy the F6, then you have to get its vertical grip as optional also. The F5 does not have the vertical grip, it has the vertical release button same as the D2 series. I still have one of it in my collectible items. Birddog114

I have been reading through this post and as others have said I think I need to get a new accountant.
My refund will go to new front, left and centre speakers for my HT setup. To many expensive hobbies, not enough money. Paul D

embi, That's an old story of few years now need something new as 70-200VR or some other new toys. Life will be very boring after those periods though, so prepare yourself with new toys so you can have something to kill your times. Birddog114
