BI Mah

Postby sirhc55 on Sat Jul 23, 2005 10:44 pm

Last Sunday I placed an order with BI Mah at Markins for the M20 and a couple of other bits and pieces. I had an email from him on Monday saying the items would be posted on Thursday 21st July.

7.40am Thursday morning the package arrived via EMS - no gst :D

That’s what I call service. . .

Wait... hold on a second... just for my knowledge... what is a "BI Mah"?

Not what, who.....

Bi Mah is the guy who runs Markins. Well he's the dude who always responds when you send emails to them :)

Top chap, my gear came minus the cover that I ordered. Few days later it arrived with an apology.

Is it cheaper to get the M20 through Mr Mah directly?

Andoru,
No, Bi Mah does not have any dealers in Australia and he does not give discount to anyone, even I have to buy it the same price as you guy paid.

I have to say that I am wrapped in this head. It is smooth, precise and a joy to use.

Now for a tripod and levelling head

Just a camera plate for the D70 and a lens plate.

I have just ordered an L plate and quick release plate from Kirk as RRS were out of stock of the L plate :D

May as well go the whole way an order a 'GITZO' and G1321 (levelling head) now to complete the package

Chris,
Just my wondering, why do you need the camera plate from Markins and L plate from Kirk?
I think the L plate will do "all in one job", and the QRP? Has your Markins 20 did not come with the QRP?

fozzie,
I think he's looking for something "lighter" as the G1227LVL.
Can I say something: Welcome to the Gitzo club!
