Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Great shots Kerry,
Like young children, animals are largely unpredictable and difficult to shoot, so you've come up with winners.
I like the warmer tones with the (fall?) leaves and composition of the first shot, but the expression in the second shot is better. Shot 2 has a slight cyan cast (perhaps due to the carrier?).
I love my 85 f/1.8 - Light, fast and great focal length & bokeh for portraiture at the price.
I think it is only bettered by the 85 1.4 and 70-200 in this FL for portraiture.

Bloody awful shots Kerry :lol: Just kidding, I have been thinking about getting the 85mm myself - unfortunately your pics with different lenses gives me too many lusts and my pocket is too shallow :roll: :lol:

Meicw: You're right, he is a little hellion, at times.

Glen: I hate to say it, but both of these shots were quick snaps. The critter is in a bicycle basket, tied down. 8)

Joolz: Yes, the 2nd shot should be a little warmer. I agree with your notion on the 85. :)

Chris: Lens lust is terrible, but manageable. Buy the cheap stuff first. The 85 f/1.8 and the Sigma 180 macro were both under $500 US, IIRC. :D

Robboh: No reason you can't get pics like this. Just need the lighting and someone to hold her still. :D

Mudder: This dog is definitely a cheeky critter. :lol:

You've inspired me to go and have a look at a session I did with her in the late afternoon a little while ago and see if there is anything thats postable (or things I could use some help with).

As for holding her still. Hmmm, 18 month old, 40KG bouncing ball of fluff. Your turn!! :lol: However, Ive since found that she will do just about ANYTHING for cheese, so might have to give that a go :)

Great shots Kerry, makes you smile just to look at them, and that is a fine quality for any photograph.

And, as aways, technically excellent.
