The bank robbery I missed... :(Unfortunately I was over the other side of North Brisbane today when I was called about an armed bank robbery at the Suncorp Metway at Kippa-Ring which was occurring and that police units were on their way.
By the time I got there an hour had passed and all the hipe had gone, most of the police had continued on their way, and the media were all packing up. I took a couple of happy snaps anyhow just to get the shutter cravings out of my system. "Damn... it's run out of money..." "I'm about to read these guys a fairy tale if you are interested constable?" "Once upon a time there was a naughty naughty person .... " "A bit late aren't you?" In my head I was thinking "yep.. but damn you look good in that uniform!" "Hahaha.. this clown with the camera thinks this is a get-away car... but it's just a decoy we decided to paint with fingerprint dust" "If he comes anywhere near me I swear I will shoot him." "Damn I look good in this reflection." "Today you will learn The Praymantis." http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

i'm glad you enjoyed I was extremely peeved off for missing the action, but a little bit of comedy seems to make things okay... mhd - i was dying to ask him about his gear... but he looked pretty busy... cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.
funny.... i have thought about the later part of what you said quite a bit recently. i always have my camera out and on sitting on the seat next to me when i'm driving around.... if i ever get in my 'own story' (touch wood i don't), I hope I can capture it.... now that would be a decisive moment... cheers http://www.markcrossphotography.com - A camera, glass, and some light.

Damm good point there are always models, true. About 2 months ago I was in Sydney filming a wedding on the North Shore. A V8 super car driver from Tasmania was my driver for the day ( a long story he was a friend of the family). He was given a V8 statesman as a hire car for the day, another mistake. As we where chasing the bridal party and I've got $5K of video camera hanging out the window we come across several police cars, officers in full body armour and guns out.
Now at this point it crossed my mind our driving through Manly had something to do with the situation but no. Some sought of siege was taking place. Now I looked at my new found driver friend and said the wedding or the story. We decided to be professional and stick with the gig that was paying us to be there. However first on the scene with 3hrs of digital hard driver recorder running it was tempting to stay with the siege.
can't run away from a paying gig.... unless it's an incident which is a "sure thing" .... Last edited by xerubus on Tue Jul 26, 2005 7:37 am, edited 2 times in total.
