Sebastião Salgado Exhibition - SydneySilly forgetful bugger that I am, I forgot to mention that until August 3, at 2 Danks Street, Waterloo, Sandra Byron Gallery is presenting an important exhibition of classic images by the acclaimed photographer Sebastião Salgado.

Salgado certainly wields a camera with a conscience! In the midst of his work depicting the struggles of existence the third world I also find his pictures of the capping of the oil wells in Iraq after the first Gulf War to be masterworks. I am not sure if sandra has any on view but I shall be popping over this arvo to find out first hand. _______________
