Sebastião Salgado Exhibition - Sydney

Silly forgetful bugger that I am, I forgot to mention that until August 3, at 2 Danks Street, Waterloo, Sandra Byron Gallery is presenting an important exhibition of classic images by the acclaimed photographer Sebastião Salgado.

The gallery's opening hous are: 11- 5 Tues- Sat

Yes Bob,

Salgado certainly wields a camera with a conscience!

In the midst of his work depicting the struggles of existence the third world I also find his pictures of the capping of the oil wells in Iraq after the first Gulf War to be masterworks. I am not sure if sandra has any on view but I shall be popping over this arvo to find out first hand.

One of the best doco photographers in the world.

Great. Now I'm going to have to find some time to get off my ass and see this exhibition.
