sky diving D70

Postby Troppo on Thu Jul 28, 2005 10:55 pm

gotta share this with you, a mad mate of mine has a D70 and he takes it sky diving, this camera is less than 4 months old and you should see it... it is taped from arse hole to breakfast so that nothing falls off while he is plumeting at 200 miles an hour towards earth. he has installed a "mouth trigger" as a shutter release after bluggoning 3 remote thingo's (ll3 i think)
and last week he proudly showed me some shots he took while falling through cloud (camera totally wet) and rain.

Needless to say, his wife (a photographer) is so not impressed.
The good thing is i get to post some of his shots and fix them up for him, like when he could not stop and flew through a barb wire fence and almost left his crown jewels behind... that should make a good post.

If he were made of money, he'd take a D2x skydiving. :)

I will be taking some pics of his rig, it is funny, he has had his helmet cut and shaped, black tape is everywhere and he has attached a remote to the lens with a wire going to his mouth to act as a shutter release by bitting on it, definitely cute.

Photo's will be posted, i am trying to get him to join here but he is worse than me with computers etc

Hi guys, did my first solo jump about a month ago, without a shadow of exageration, i absolutely shit myself...but that photo was not taken by me, it was taken by a skyding cameraman who happens to be a good friend i think, but then...why did he talk me into jumping

Thanks Mike, i'll try and remember.
