Landscape Photos from Werribee Treatment Plant and Glenmore
A couple more photos of the environment at Werribee Treatment Plant at dusk. Taken on the field trip with Nicole, Bruce, Arthur and his wife Rachelle (spelling?). This was the best sunset I've ever seen, the colors in the sky and the algae in the water was producing some amazing colors.
The pano was taken handheld and made up of I think 9-10 images. The final result was an image about 11000x2900. I cropped it down to 10000x2800 as there was some white section and I though there was some space on the right that didn't give the image much symmetry. 
Also a Rainbow taken on Reids Rd south of Glenmore last Monday on my RDO while I was out taking photos and following Wedge-Tail Eagles.  Darryl (aka Kipper)

That second is superb. Love the reflection.
And what can I say about the rainbow? Love it, love the negative space, love the the tree and how the rainbow is falling into it. Terrific. I might try increasing the saturation and a slight curve adjustment though. Matt

I've already bumped the saturation a fair bit and applied a velvia action. I might muck around with levels and curves to try and bring out the rainbow more. It's funny when you look at it in the flesh it looks more vivid. When you record it, it seems to lack umph. Does that come down to the dynamic range of photography? FYI, in the second those aren't dust bunnies but birds. If you look at the left at the horizon you can see a flock of them. I really don't know why I have a tripod as I seem to manage handheld quite well  I guess for long exposures at beaches/rivers it's good or if you want to do macro (then again Kerry does quite well handheld).Darryl (aka Kipper)

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm going to reprocess the second photo in panofactory as I've just done a different photo using different settings and I think it has worked a lot better.

I wouldn't have wasted my time taking the rainbow shot. I would have been over the fence in a flash to get the pot of gold to satisfy the lens lust!

Darryl you have produced some amazing images from the WTP....I have completely enjoyed viewing all of them.
The rainbow one though I really love.....the emptiness of the landscape with the rainbow coming down on what appears to be the only trees in the area.....couldn't have planned it better if you had God's ear "Sometimes when you are sad Poko, it's good to hug the monkey."
Taken a couple of weeks ago on a different occassion, near where Jamie said to go searching for Wedge Tail Eagles. For a minute I thought God was showing me where they were, either that or a pot of gold (as mentioned. As the end of the rainbow as just up the road. At the time I didn't realise their was a twin/double rainbow, only when post processing did I see. Otherwise I would have zoomed out a bit more. Was trying to be careful not to get my reflection in the photo

while I sat here oggling your images yet again my nine year old saw the double rainbow and his first response was "WOW" high praise from a young manling who makes an effort not to be impressed by anything too much.

Just trying to redo the 2nd pano with better settings related to exposure in pano factory. The image doesn't look as blown, but for the life of me I can't remember the pp flow that I used before to get the desired result. It's a big sigh Darryl (aka Kipper)

Ok here is my updated version with better exposure settings in Panofactory. Plus I decided to go a bit different here as I've seen a lot of landscape photos in magazines use Magenta Filters.
