There is a slight problem with you poll.... I dont think it is possible to just swap a d70s for a d2x... I think you mean swap it towards a d2x

MHD, Correct, should read as swap it toward a D2x. Thanks Birddog114

I'm assuming that the majority of users here owns the original D70, so wouldn't you want to sell the old one and keep the D70s?

I voted for 2nd body... Its always handy having a second body... one with your favourite prime on board and the other with a flexable zoom

Why don't swap it in and save the fund toward the soon released D200? Birddog114

Assuming (I know, NEVER assume) that the winner already has a DSLR - possibly Nikon - I would suggest using the prize camera as a second body in order to decrease the frequency of removing the lens for changeover.
For example: My ideal would be two bodies - one with a 28mm (possibly 35mm) and another with the 60mm micro. Others who are more disposed to zooms than I could have a short zoom on one and a long zoom on the other. I realise that gunk gets in by more nefarious means than just opening the front of the body to change lenses, but a reduction in such exposure must be a move in the right direction. Anyway, why should I care? - I ain't gonna win nuttin' - coz I never entered! _______________

Yes, second body is worth it but someone on this board prefer to have an upgrade path to other new bodies (released and soon to be released). Birddog114

I also voted for the second body. Cutting down the number of lens changes really appeals to me.

You didn't offer that as an option... It's probably the way I would go IF I were to win... I voted for swap in towards the D2x, but the D200 will probably be good enough for me... However, I'd be very happy with the D70s as a second body as well... Cheers, John

Would sell it to fund my other lust in the lenses I have seen at the mini-meet. I just got my D70s, so getting more glass is certainly on my list. Next year I may start lusting after the D200/D3x, etc, never ending is it! Nobody warned me about this

I would rather swap my old D70 for a new D2X...any takers out there in Nikon land? What about me trying out a D2X and 600mm lens for a month? A week? I'll even throw in my 1973 Souths jersey...? One of the kids......?

I'd either swap it in towards a D200 or a D50.
The D50 has some use to me as the noise algorithms seem better and it might be easier to bring around for night shootings... but I'd probably swap it towards a D200. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

I voted keep it for a second body......Just need to work out who's body

I agree so much with you Gerard. If I win, it'll make the D2x a much easier proposition. I can see the maths already... maxwell D2x 7k - 1.5K? = 5.5K (instead of rrp 8K, looks close to half price!!!) HB
HB, Not work that way! The d70s is not Maxwell stock and it's HKG stock and it's around AU$1055.00 Birddog114

In fact it's less than that since you have to find a buyer and settle on a reasonable price. Peter
