Canberra, A different perspectiveA different Perspective on Telstra Tower
The full size has some quite nice detail (~4mb) http://images.potofgrass.com/host/b_tt_dyn?full=1 WB was tricky... As there was a lot of colour in the light I wanted to preserve.. (sunset) New page

Christ dude... that sky is blindingly blue.
I'm not sure if I can look at that picture for too long without my eyes hurting... it's an interesting effect. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

yes... it is a conbination of:
1) No polution 2) Winter (dryer air) 3) Drought 4) Upped saturation levels New page

A little overcooked MHD... Its a nice perspective though. I have been up to the tower about 5 or 6 times in the last few months. For those who havent have the pleasure, it is often so windy up there you have to hold onto your hat. Scott - did you see any black tailed cockatoos? There were a few up that way a few weeks ago. Im still hunting for a gang gang to get a nice shot.
Aggg my eyes! Ze goggles. Zhey do not work.
Sorry MHD, it's too blue for me as well. Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
Ok here is another version... Less sat and warmer

I like this latter image better. Nice colours.
On a lighter note - it looks like a decorated christmas tree or some type of theme park ride - does the middle section rotate at high speed so the white discs fly out horizontally? Gecko
Always going against the flow, I am. I actually like the effect of the high sat first version viewing this as an artistic (as opposed to representational) work

Now that I re-look at it - I'd go somewhere half way between the two. Somehow the warmer tower looks like it curves in to the left whereas the Cooler tower looks straighter - obviously on optical illusion but somehow warming the photo has changed the highlights on the tower.
Plus Peter, you are obsessed with blue... HB
Heath Interesting comment and in line with a similar one you made on my bunker shot comp image. Weird thing is I've never really thought about it, but on reflection you are almost certainly correct. These sorts of things are probably more noticed by others. Guess what my favourite colour is? As an aside when I bought my new car last year I my first choice was a very nice blue Mazda 6, but I bought a sparkling silver [PC name for champagne coloured] one instead since it wouldn't show the dirt (brain can rule the heart!) And I've just seen the theme for the mini uncompetition Peter

blue is good.
I tend to prefer warm, earthy tones. Each to their own. However, let me remind you that you chose a warm shade for your car, and said it was your mind... Perhaps warm choices are more inteligent ones.... HB
