If you ever get asked to make a cake, DON'T, it is much harder and more time consuming than it looks. Written by a bloke at the half way mark

24 hr emergency bakery store should be able to help you out. PS. If I'm late tomorrow it's because I was still awake at 3am...

If I'm late tomorrow (or today even) it's because I'm lazy and I was awake until 4.

But mostly because I'm lazy.

And I think you've got the wrong approach to this cake thing.

You should've approached it similarly to the way you approach lens lust: buy a cake.

BP, a man has to know his limitations  Nnnnsic, it's all in the icing! My area is so badly serviced with shops, not one had a cake with a D70 on top. Onyx, just be on time

Is this the life of a photographer?

Glen... awake making cake... he'll sleep soon...

Nnnnsic... awake editing images and code... he'll sleep at Birdy's...

Onyx... awake -- err.. for some reason or another... he'll sleep eventually too...

Glen... looking forward to seeing a photo titled...

"Cake... as interpreted by Glen"

Sounds like you understand the first rule of cake: "It's all about the icing"

The all encompassing rule of thumb is that: "we eat first with our eyes" which probably explains why my eyes are hanging outa my head this morning...lol.

Have a great bridge shot and see you all this afternoon!!!

What a great cake it was too. Thanks you Glen for putting so much effort into it. I'm sure the official photographers of the night will post pics soon. It truly is a marvel to look at and a delight to taste.

You were a great tour guide for our harbour bridge pylon climb too, but that's for another thread. :)

Greybeard, I think you have pipped me on the cake and I may have topped you on the icing and decorations. Maybe we should do a combined effort? Nah, that wouldn't be fair, looks like you have got the pastry chef award for the Christmas Party

Terry, might be a while before the next cake, I think I only have one a year in me
