Got a thin skin? Then look elsewhere. Post a link to an image that you've made, and invite others to offer their critiques. Please note that this is not an area for you to showcase your images, nor is this a place for you to show-off where you have been. This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Good old Melbourne. Snow one day, next day it's spring then it rains and hails and rains....

piro, great shot, great colours, but i cant help but wonder how it would look in black and white as well - the colour image is so punchy i think it would convert well to b+w.
That said - i think i'm developing a thing about b+w at the moment......
in the beginning was the word, and the word was Aardvark......

Very nice Piro! Amazing colours. My cherry blossom has only buds at the moment, have to wait for October, I think, but a couple of other blossoms I have seen blossoming around the place!

Can't wait for Spring! Lots of instability means lots of storms.......hopefully!

Nice shot Piro. Talk about a weird season. Got snowed in yesterday and I'll be out snapping blossoms on the weekend. Did you use a cpl to get the sky looking so rich and deep blue?

hi everyone,

thanks for your comments :)

Chris, I'll have a go at the b&w conversion :)

stormy, if you have the time go driving around the streets where in front of each house has a plum/cherry blossom. I think Doncaster has them, but I need to find out first.

John, I didn't use a CPl just the good old 50mm 1.8 :)

that's why you need to go to a decent suburb :) And it's shutter actuation, not shutter accusation...unless of course you're planning on accusing your subjects via your camera...
