Thanks to birdy, I am now the proud owner of a Nikon 50mm 1.4 lens.
Its a beauty.
Here is the first image of many to come along. We will be hitting the Great Ocean Rd tomorrow so should hopefully get some great shots there to test it out.
No PP'ing except sharpening and borders.

Nice composition embi - shows the quality of the lens too. Also having one of these I know you'll enjoy it. Hope you have a wide angle (12-24 Dx would be nice  ) for the GOR.

Great shot Embi... Is that Spencer Street again?
Personally, I find the 50mm to be stronger in close up work....
I experimented with it initially in the cityscape / landscape department and was disappointed...
Having seen this, maybe I should try it again...

Nope my only other lens so far is the kit lens.
Just spoke to the better half about an arrival at the 8 apostles for a sunrise shoot but after consulting my gps for a sunrise time it means leaving home at 3am. I dont think I can push it that far
