Is a mirror involved there?

Gee I really like this... The slightly bright fold in the fabric is a little distracting but love the angle... Assume the horizontal ridge in the fabric is a mirror?

Very nicely done.

Thanks Andrew.

Very little PP done on this at this stage, just basically a B&W conversion in NC and a downsize, sharpen, border in PS.

It's an idea Ive had a for a while and while it works for me, I was curious to see what some others thought before I spent any time doing PP; plus of course comments like yours gives me some good things to work on in the PP. The owner of the statue wants a canvas print done - the other half :D

nice shots, i can appreciate the effort that's gone into them.

first pic
lighting is a little harsh on her left side and bottom left corner but the reflected version works well - an interesting shot

second pic
i really like this angle as it highlights the emotion in her pose and face. the black and white seems to amplify this emotion and it works quite well (for me that is). lighting on her left side is a little harsh again and i would have cropped out the dark corners at the top. i keep looking at the pic and thinking "you poor thing"

third pic
interesting variation on the first pic (i prefer this lighting). shadows are a little strong on the bottom left but as a side effect i really like how her left side isn't lit - her "dark side" adds to the sombre mood of the pic.

nice work on all three pics, i don't do much studio work myself (insert grain of salt disclaimer here) and can appreciate the difficulties and effort required to produce these shots.

Thanks for all the comments guys.
And thankyou Samester for taking the time to write such comprehensive thoughts. I agree that the lighting is pretty harsh. Ive always really liked really contrasty B&W and these were the result of doing a B&W conversion in NC. When I saw the results and then had a quick play with doing it in PS, I decided I prefered these versions. But yes, definitely agree that I need to do a little dodgin' and burnin' :)
