just kidding or perhaps not. I've got a Manfrotto 190D plus a 141RC three way head. It is big, weighty (aluminium) and sturdy. I paid some $250 for the set. HTH, CD
I'd also suggest you do a search on the words tripod and head and you'll find LOT'S already on this topic. Prices vary greatly. Easy to spend up to $2000 , but you get what you pay for. A visit to a mini meet might be a good idea since you can play with the gear to see what it's like (warning visiting can damage you bank balance ) PS Please add your location to your profile. It helps with questions like these (eg mini meets happen most frequently in Sydney)
